Diploma in Nursing program aims to develop knowledgeable practitioners in general nursing who are equipped with practical skills to work in various settings in Maldivian health sector. The program enables candidates to work with clients and professional partners in effectively delivering health-care services according to the code of ethics. The program aligns with the National Competency Standards for Professional Nurses and Midwives to ensure safe practice and quality patient-centered care. Upon successful completion of the program, the candidates will meet the licensing requirements of the Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse.
3 GCE O鈥� Level pass (minimum C grade) or equivalent in the following subjects:
Mathematics, Biology /Human Biology, Physics / Chemistry AND
Pass in 2 subjects of Higher Secondary Education AND
Certified competency in English OR
Completion of MNQF level 4 Foundation Course (Approved by the MNMC) that includes Mathematics, Mathematics, Biology /Human Biology, Physics / Chemistry AND
Certified competency in English OR
Pass in Shahadha Saanavi Mathematics, Biology / Human Biology, Physics/Chemistry AND
Certified competency in English OR
Successful completion of Certificate 4 in Nursing AND
Certified competency in English Note: 鈥淐ertified competency in English鈥� is defined as minimum 鈥淐鈥� grade in GCE O鈥� level English OR
