The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education programme focuses on developing educators' ability to create stimulating learning environments, observe and document children's learning journeys, and respond to each child's interests and developmental needs. Participants will develop skills in facilitating play-based learning experiences, supporting emotional regulation, and fostering positive relationships with both children and families.
Educators will learn to design environments and experiences that promote discovery learning, creative expression, and problem-solving through play. The programme emphasizes the importance of responsive caregiving, understanding schemas in children's play, and supporting learning through daily routines and interactions. Participants will develop expertise in documenting children's learning through observations, learning stories, and portfolios, while building strong partnerships with families to support each child's development.
The programme places special emphasis on understanding how young children learn through active exploration, sensory experiences, and relationships. Educators will develop skills in supporting children's natural inquiry processes, early communication, and meaning-making through play. They will learn to recognize and extend learning opportunities in everyday moments, fostering children's confidence, independence, and joy in discovery during these foundational years of development.
Graduates will gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to support children's early learning across all developmental domains, from early language and communication to physical development, creative expression, and early mathematical concepts. The programme emphasizes play-based, child-led approaches that nurture natural curiosity, encourage exploration, and support social-emotional development in the crucial early years.
